Privicy Policy

Carnkie Camera Club collects contact information from members and other people associated with the club. This data will be kept secure as specified in General Data Protection Regulations and will not be shared with any third parties, for any reason, other than legal obligation.

The only people with access to the data will be members of the committee. The data will only be used for the management and running of Carnkie Camera Club. The club will keep this data for a maximum time according to the nature of which it was gathered:-

• Club members will be ongoing whilst membership and permission is maintained
• Past members data will be kept for a maximum of five years from expiry of membership
• Others as appropriate for the running of the club
  
  

In the case of persons under 18 years of age, personal details can only be recorded with express permission from parent or person with legal parental responsibilities for the individual.

Any person who is the subject of data has the right to view the data at any time by request and also has the right to withdraw permission for Carnkie Camera Club to hold your data.

Upon request all your data will be securely deleted from the records. Where permission is withdrawn communication by electronic means will cease and this may affect your ability to participate in some club events.

Members may only submit images to which they own the copyright. Any images entered for competitions, exhibitions, monthly themes etc, or posted on the Carnkie Camera Club Web Site or Social Media pages remain the property of the individual photographer. By submitting images, unless you specifically state otherwise, you give Carnkie Camera Club permission to host your images and to freely use such images to promote the club, but for no other purpose.

Carnkie Camera Club cannot guarantee or accept responsibility for data that transmitted over the Internet, however once received any data will be held securely, where permission has been granted, and used solely within the scope of that permission in accordance with GDPR directives.

Club Equipment

Carnkie Camera Club has a small pool of equipment which is available on loan to members. Loan is generally free, but consumables etc must be paid for. If you want equipment for a specific event it should be booked well in advance. All equipment must be returned by the due date or when requested. Bookings for official club use always take priority even if the items have been pre-booked by a member.
