A random montage of images from all members will appear
above. Images shown will be different each time the page is loaded
Only photographs taken by club members may be posted on the club website.
Please make sure that you photos are in jpeg/jpg format – NO RAW, TIF or PSD files please.
File size and quality does not matter too much as the software used to create the images will do all that is necessary including adding the watermark.
Rename all your files so that the filename is as you want the caption to appear, the software used to make the gallery will automatically extract the caption from the filename (ignoring the .jpg or jpeg bit).
i.e. if you want your image to be called "Dog on Beach", then name your file "Dog on Beach.jpg" (take care not to call it "Dog on Beach.jpg.jpg")
If you are not sure how to resize and/or send images by email then see the excellent tutorials in the Photo Basics section, there is also a nice little free program called PixResizer in the downloads section that simplifies the resizing of photos
You can submit your images in a number of ways
1. By Email
Send to mail@carnkiecameraclub.co.uk
Make sure that to include the photos as attachments; do not embed pictures in the message itself.
Make sure that you include your name so that I know who to attribute the photos to.
Maximum Message size is 10mb - if you have more than 10mb of photos then please send them as multiple emails.
Images will be added to the web site as and when I get around to it - please be patient.
2. On CD/DVD or memory stick/card
Hand a CD/DVD or memory card to me at the club meeting
Make that your CD/DVD memory stick is labelled with your name and any other relevant information.
3. Prints
As a last resort you can hand be prints which I will scan and place in the members gallery. If you submit prints please be very, very patient as it may take me a while to get around to scanning them.
